I noticed someone posted that their auto insurance rates went up since they are unemployed. I have been unemployed since February and my rates stayed the same. I don’t tell the insurance company that I lost my job. How will the insurance company know if I am working or not?
They don’t know if you are employed or not.
It’s not based on employment - it’s based on credit score. Likely, that other person also stopped paying bills.

My old insurance company would pay for my rx. Then the company I worked for changed insurance companies and they don’t cover what I used to take. How can I get them to cover this? Or can I?
I have already tried calling the new insurace company and was told that don’t cover this med. How can I jump through hoops to get this covered?
SlyKitty, unfortunately, if your new insurance company does not cover it, there is no way you can let them cover your old prescription. That is always a problem with switching insurance companies. Actually, I’ve been almost in the same situation, and what I did I went online and purchased generic version of medication I was getting through UK http://www.pharmacynextdoor.com online drugstore. It was simple and the prices were reasonable.

I am the tenant of a condo and had accidental water damage to the unit, and floors below. My landlord claims they do not have insurance to cover the damage, but the condo board does and has paid out a $5000 deductible for the insurance for all the units to the insurance company, which I have reimbursed. Now I have been contacted by the insurance company about being charged for the remainder of the damages.
My question is, am I not sheltered by the condo boards insurance deductible?
Your situation illustrates a prime example of why tenants should purchase renter’s insurance. The condo board insurer covered the loss to the condo, but that doesn’t mean the insurer is not going to attempt to recover its payout from the person responsible for the damage. That person is YOU. No, you are not sheltered or covered. You’ve already paid the deductible portion to the condo. Now the insurer involved wants to recover ITS payout. If the condo insurer had a zero deductible, it would be coming after you for the entire amount of the damages. This insurer is following standard practice for such situations. Learn the value of renter’s insurance.

I was rear-ended by another car. I reported to the insurance company of the person who hit me that my neck was a little sore. They offered me $700 to sign a release form without me even asking. I told the claims adjuster I needed to think about it. Short of getting a lawyer, what could I expect to be offered? I am sure insurance companys have a set amount that they will pay to get me to sign the release form. Anyone know about how much that would be?
Hm could it possibly be whiplash you’re experiencing? It’s life threatening certainly, you need to sue them for millions.
$700 is more than enough for you since you haven’t got a bunch of doctor’s bills to pay off.

Which life insurance company is the best in setting claims? I want to buy a term life insurance for 25 yrs. I am 35 now. Please suggest good plan and life insurance company. Is there any database where we get more information of claim record.
New York Life is the best. The claim will be dealt with personally instead of through the mail. Excellent company!

I want to start an insurance company in Florida and was wondering how much it would cost to start one. Do not hesitate, give me your best estimate. Also, do insurance companies keep funds gathered through insurance policies in a fund or do they invest it? Comments? Thanks!
It’s billions of dollars.
They have to have "reserves" set aside to pay claims, which CAN be invested, before they can sell a single policy.
Most insurance companies don’t make money off of selling the actual policy - they pay out darned close to every dollar they take in - or even more. They make their money off the income from their reserve investments.

I am in a weekend-only program at my job. My employer does offer STDI, but not to employees in this program. I can’t even take a payroll deduction and pay for it myself. I am having a tough time finding an insurance company that will offer STD to me as an individual.
Have you used a reputable company that you could recommend?
Aflac replied that they only do payroll deduction at this time….
Check with AFLAC. They offer short term disability which you can purchase individually. You can check this website to read about the different products and to find a local agent that represents them http://www.aflac.com/individuals/default.aspx.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Car Insurance company pay for accident damage and try to get it back from opponent’s insurance company if he is in fault.
But what they do if both driver have the same insurance company?
Then they just subrogate internally.
Some companies assign each file to a separate adjuster. For you, as a customer, that can be a bit of a pain because you will have to give a recorded statement to each adjuster for their file.
Other companies will assign both files to the same adjuster. That’s easier on you, as a customer, because the adjuster only does one investigation and applies the liability decision to both files.

I wasn’t driving, therefore it wont be on my driving record only my criminal. I was wondering if a car insurance company checks criminal records while you have insurance with them? The case was resolved through "stay of adjudication" which means if i keep my nose clean for a year it will be dismissed.
Thank you for your help.
