Insurance company?

Posted by admin on September 30, 2009

I need your advise before I claim this to Insurance company about a incident that happened on few days ago.

Around 1.30 PM, I stopped my car outside of my apartment with emergency lights on. I put on the emergency lights on since I stopped the car on red curb. In fact, I was waiting outside to pick my family who were coming from inside the apartment.

Then a Car came from behind and entered into the apartment and while entering it hit my car bumper causing some scratches on my bumper. The guy didn’t stop the car and I followed that car and told him that you hit my car..

He said on that day, he will pay the repair charges.. however, yesterday, he gave me his company insurance number and asked me to proceed officially..

Now the Question is - What should I do ? Should I report this to Insurance Company? The repair will cost me $200. I don’t want to get my name into records as an accident regardless of whose mistake it is.
What the LAW says ?

That’s what he pays his insurance for.

File a claim with his carrier and be sure they put you in a rental while your car is in being repaired. NOT a big deal.

Good luck and I hope this helps!`

How do you get proof of car insurance without a car?

Posted by admin on September 27, 2009

I had my brother listed as a driver on my insurance policy and he is moving so will no longer be using my car. The insurance company is requiring that I show proof of insurance before removing him from the policy. They are telling me there is no other way to remove him from the policy due to a DUI charge. Is it even possible to get car insurance without a car? What should I do?

If you have an insurance company that is refusing to allow you to remove an authorized driver from your policy unless you PROVE the authorized driver has insurance elsewhere, it’s time to get a new policy in place at another company and then drop your current insurance. That is ridiculous.

If you want to stay with that company for some reason (although I couldn’t think of any) you might call your agent and ask why you need to do that, and tell him you will switch if you can’t, and see what happens. Try this site to find the best car insurance

Should Keep or Look into term Life Insurance Quotes?

Posted by admin on September 26, 2009

I have a whole life policy which I have been paying 45.00 per month for 16 yrs. I have to pay this amount until age 99 so they say. The amount it was for when I bought it was 50,000. It builds cash value. I am now 62. Should I keep this policy or look into term insurance?

We have no idea. What’s the GOAL of the insurance policy?

At 62, I’m assuming you have no minor children. If you have enough assets that your estate can pay for your funeral and cover your debts, why do you have insurance in the first place?

You need to define the exact GOAL the the insurance is to acheive, and THEN decide which policy meets that goal best. That includes, deciding how LONG you want to keep life insurance. If you never see a time when you don’t need it, then whole life is the one to have.

Having said that, whenever you are shopping out for new insurance, or comparing prices, you do NOT want to let your current policy lapse, until your NEW policy is already in place - you might not even QUALIFY for life insurance now! There’s no way to know, until you have the policy in your hands.

So. Define your goals. Select the tool. Comparison shop, and don’t cancel the old policy, unless you have already replaced it, or have decided you don’t need life insurance. Try this site

Why Defensive Driving Course Certificate can’t be used to get an auto insurance discount in Texas?

Posted by admin on September 26, 2009

I passed this course in the middle of 2007 and got this certificate, but i can’t use it as one of discount factors when i am gonna to buy an auto insurance. The licensed auto insurance agents told me that Defensive Driving Course Certificate can’t be used to get more auto insurance discounts for Texas? Why? It’s so weird. So, why Texans need to take that course besides for a court when i got a speeding ticket?

You can’t use it to get a discount if you used it to dismiss a ticket. And maybe your company just doesn’t offer that discount. Not all companies do, so shop around. Texans only need to take the class if they are ordered by a judge to not have a ticket go on their record.

I also find it strange that you are able to shop for rates online. Typically you can put in your information, but they cannot quote rates online for the state of Texas yet. It has to come from a representative of the company who is licensed.

The insurance company wants to settle my workers compensation claim in montana.What do i do?

Posted by admin on September 25, 2009

I fell from a roof and shaddered my right heel bone in about 50 places when i landed on my feet. I had surgery 10 days later and they put my heel back together with about 9 bolts/srews and a steel plate on 1/28/07. It took until now to be released to part time work. My doctor has my records marked as a possible permanent impairment. I know i can work for about 2 hours before it starts hurting and i’m walking with a good limp after about 4 hours. My doctor said this won’t be wrapped up until febuary. The insurance company wants to meet with me next week. I think they are wanting to offer me a settlement. It seems to be too soon for this. As an Licensed Electrician i usually make around 50.000 per year or better. I’m worried about whether i will be able to perform til i retire which is another 37 years or better before that happens. That’s pretty much all the details. What kind of settlement should i consider if the insurance company tries to force my hand?

do what your lawyer tells you to do . I mean you basically have the next 37 yrs to think about and how will you support yourself ? I mean you really should listen to your lawyer and do what he tells you . good luck to you and I wish you well.

Car Insurance?

Posted by admin on September 25, 2009

I am planning to buy a used 1992 Honda Prelude for $2,700.00. How does the insurance work? Does the price of the car that I paid or the retail price, plays as a factor of how much I would have to pay monthly for insurance. What insurance company would be the best for a new driver with her G2 only? Does anybody have an idea of how much it will cost me (approximately monthly) for the insurance? What other fees or cost will I have to pay for?

Insurance cost depends on a LOT of factors, which includes but may NOT be limited to:

* make, model, trim, and year of car
* optional equipment in the car (ABS, traction control, etc.)
* theft deterrent equipment in car (alarm, Lojack, etc.)
* other equipment in car (fire extinguisher, emergency kit, etc.)
* location where it is stored
* mileage driven per month
* where you drive to and from
* your age
* your driving record
* your gender
* your profession / job
* amount of coverage you are buying
* type of coverage your are buying
* and more

You should get quotes from as many companies as possible.

Honda Prelude is considered a 2-door sports coupe, so insurance will be higher than, say a Ford Taurus GL of same year.

Contact a local agent. I personally went with AllState and my agent was quite helpful. Others deal direct with companies like 21st Century, GEICO, Progressive, and so on. It’s all up to you. Just make sure you compare the same coverage across different companies.

Florida Auto Insurance Quotes Online, are they really safe?

Posted by admin on September 25, 2009

Florida residents do you really think entering all your valuable personal information online for an auto insurance quote is really the safe way to obtain auto insurance?
A local personalized auto insurance agent who you can pick up the phone and call or stop by their office sounds so much safer and personal.

I am a resident of Miami Florida and I can tell you first hand to be very careful entering any private information online. I have recently had my Identity stolen from entering my personal information which had to include my social security number for a free online auto insurance quote. Never again will I so easily be swayed to enter my personal information into the world wide web for all to see. My thoughts, there are people who can hack into anywhere online, do yourself a favor and try to limit the information you submit onto the web.

I now currently have my florida auto insurance with Florida Auto Plus Insurance out of Miami Florida 1-877-WIZ-AUTO
They have been awarded Top Auto Insurance Agency in Florida.

Is it necessary to buy Rental Car Insurance even though i have my car insurance policy with me?

Posted by admin on September 24, 2009

I have a car and have taken Auto insurance for it.
Now my question is if i take a rental car, then my auto insurance policy for my car covers it or i need to take separate insurance for the rental car? When i took the auto insurance policy, they have taken my car details and its present in the insurance card also.
If i need to take insurance for rental car, what type of insurance do i need to take excluding my auto insurance policy coverage that applies to all cars?
Also if i am driving someone else car, will my insurance cover if there is any accident i have made?

When you rent a car, you have to have full coverage on the care that you own (your personal vehicle) and then that will automatically carry over to the rental. If you do not have full coverage you can add it to your existing policy for the amount of time you’ll be renting the car OR just buy the insurance from the rental place. And to answer your other question, no your policy will not cover somebody else’s car just because you’re driving it. Insurance covers vehicles, NOT people, even if you were in an at fault accident, your friend/relative’s insurance would have to cover that loss. Try this site to find the best car insurance
